Project / program / interim manager

Currently John acts parttime as chairman within the national program Egiz of the Dutch government VWS via NEN. Recently John has acted as shareholder, CIO, PM in general, HR and Facility Manager at Cyclups, a start-up/scale-up company that creates sustainable and compostable granulate from agricultural waste (wheat) to be used as a substitution for plastic like straws and disposables. John started his career in 1992 as project lead in a Government organization. After 2 years, he started at an employment agency as office manager. During this period, he met Computer Centrum Sittard (CCS), the IT department of Vendex. In 2000 John started at CCS as a project manager (PM). Until today John has acted as an IPMA C certified PM on all kinds of projects with all kinds of customers (retailers, healthcare, food and beverage industry, telecom). Most of the projects are in the field of infrastructure and SAP migrations/upgrades, but also organizational non-IT projects are in scope (VodafoneZiggo). The size of the projects varies from 2 to 18 months, from budgets of € 50.000 to € 2.000.000, from 2 project members to 75 members and from a national to an international setting. Besides being a PM and transition manager John has also acted as business line manager and service manager. The biggest successes are finishing the organizational / infrastructural programs A3S, GAIS and SaaS Outsourcings and the enhancement pack upgrade MP1 at Philips, the Euro conversion within the hard deadline of 31 December 2001 and acting as crisis project manager within the Aegon migration / outsourcing project.
